Dear Members –
Our bar association is off to a great start this bar year. I offer many thanks to our returning and new annual sponsors. They help make this possible.
In August, we held a fun Dog Days of Summer Picnic where bar members gathered to enjoy a hamburger or bratwurst prepared by Chef Andre and Retired Judge Jessica Ticktin. They, along with the committee, Rachel Schrager and Steve Rappoport, did a wonderful job planning this successful event. Over 40 people, members and their families, enjoyed the beautiful park. Also, YLS held a successful school supply drive gathering supplies and donations to benefit Pine Grove elementary.
We held a very successful Member reception on September 7th. Over 100 members welcomed the new bar year. Also, the bar association collaborated and held a joint bar association event, with Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association, Broward County Hispanic Bar Association, South Palm Beach County FAWL, Palm Beach County FAWL, Broward County Bar Association and Palm Beach County Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association to celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event sold out and over 100 people attended from all of the associations involved. Lastly, our first lunch of the year featured Mayor Scott Singer as the featured speaker. Our sponsor was Laurie Dubow of Signature Paradise Reality. The lunch was a success at our new venue, Farmer’s Table and sold out. It promises to be a wonderful lunch venue and series this year.
As we move into October, our first Happy Hour of the Happiest Happy Hour Series is scheduled to occur on October 10th at Gray Robinson. This event is to benefit the charity of The EBC Foundation and promises to be a fun-filled event that is already close to selling out. Next, our upcoming Tennis Tournament is set to take place on November 4th. It is at a new venue, Boca Raton Swim and Racquet Club. Lastly, we are also excited that there are many events scheduled with our committees.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the Tennis Tournament.
