a founding partner of the personal injury firm of Kogan & DiSalvo, is a Florida Bar Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, and is A.V. rated by Martindale-Hubbell. His firm limits its practice to the areas of personal injury, product liability and wrongful death cases. Mr. DiSalvo has been active on the Board of Directors for the SPBCBA for over eight years and has chaired various committees He has previously chaired a Florida Bar Grievance Committee, and served on an Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for recovering in excess of that amount on individual cases. He is also a member of The Palm Beach County Bar Association; American Association of Justice; Florida Justice Association; Palm Beach County Justice Association. Mr. DiSalvo has been practicing law for over twenty years.
Jay A. Schwartz, President-Elect
is a Family/Matrimonial trial lawyer and partner in the firm of Sachs & Sax in Boca Raton, Florida where he heads their family law department, and sits as the newest officer of the SPBCBA Board of Directors. He has been practicing family and matrimonial law for 30 years since receiving is J.D. in 1977 from Nova Southeastern University School of Law where he was a Charter class member. Mr. Schwartz is a three time past chair of the very active SPBCBA Family Practice Committee ad the current Board liaison. In addition, Mr. Schwartz serves as a committee member of the Florida Bar, Family Law Section Legislative Committee and was a past Board of Director of the Legal Aid Society of Broward County. Mr. Schwartz resides in Parkland and is the Father of two wonderful boys who attend Florida State University and University of Florida respectively.

AV rated in Martindale litigation partner with Greenspoon Marder, P.A. who concentrates his practice in business litigation, employment discrimination, deceptive trade practices, developer and broker fraud matters, and covenants not to compete. He has tried fraudulent business sales disputes,mortgage foreclosures, product liability, false arrest, and medical peer review proceedings as well as numerous cases involving constitutional law and civil rights issues. He has written articles and regularly lectures about First Amendment and employment discrimination matters. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1983 and received his B.A., summa cum laude, from State University of New York at Stonybrook in 1980(Phi Beta Kappa). Mr. Corman has also chaired the Law Day events for the Association for the past several years and is currently Co-Editor of The Advocate.
Robin I. Bresky, Secretary
of The Law Offices of Robin Bresky, is an appellate attorney who specializes in civil and criminal appeals. She also handles motion support for litigation. She is the past chair, for the previous three years, of South Palm Beach County Bar Association's Appellate Practice Committee, and is also a former Criminal Prosecutor from Broward County. In addition, Ms. Bresky is an appointed member of the City of Boca Raton's K-12 Education Task Force and Vice President of the Woodfield Country Club Networking Group.
Marc A. Kaufman, is the founding partner of Marc A. Kaufman and Associates and conducts a practice limited to significant personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death matters. The firm has offices in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Mr. Kaufman has been in practice for thirty years and has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Kaufman, has bee an active member of the South Palm Beach County Bar for over 15 years and chaired the Civil Practice Committee for several years. Mark R. Osherow
is a partner at Adorno & Yoss LLP, an international law firm of over 280 attorneys in 20 locations, providing a full range of interdisciplinary services to its clients throughout the Western Hemisphere, in its Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton offices. Mr. Osherow is Board Certified as a Specialist in Business Litigation Law by The Florida Bar (2006). Mr. Osherow is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and a Florida Qualified Arbitrator. He is recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine for 2007, 2008 and 2009 as one of the top 5% of attorneys in Florida. He is also listed in Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition for 2008 and 2009, featuring recognized business litigation attorneys from across the country. Mr. Osherow's prior boutique firm was also named a "Go-To Law Firm" for 2007 by Corporate Counsel Magazine in the area of employment litigation, based upon his work. Mr. Osherow received the "Excellence in Writing Award" from the Florida Bar for his article on the civil theft statute appearing in the Florida Bar Journal in March 2003.
In addition to his service as the Association's Board of Directors, Mr. Osherow serves as the Association's representative to the Judicial Information System Policy Board of Palm Beach County, Florida. He has been practicing law since 1988 and in Florida since 1994. His experience includes a wide range of business litigation matters from inception through trial involving employment, real estate, construction, fraud and misrepresentation, securities, accounting and attorney malpractice, as well as corporate and partnership disputes, and related contractual issues. Mr. Osherow concentrates in both the state and federal courts in business and securities litigation, bankruptcy litigation, employment litigation, products liability, medical negligence and other professional liability claims and insurance coverage issues.
Mr. Osherow received his undergraduate degree in 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a 1988 graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Mr. Osherow is a member of the Florida, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Bars. He was an attorney-member of a Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, on which he also served as Chair. Mr. Osherow now serves as an appointed member of the Florida Bar's Business Litigation Certification Committee, having previously served two terms as a member of the Florida Bar's Standing Committee on the Unlicensed Practice of Law (UPL), and as a member of the Editorial Board of the Florida Bar Journal/News. He also served two terms as Chair of the Annual Fund of the St. Andrews School. Mr. Osherow was recognized in November 2004 for his service in the Report to Congress by The Trial Lawyers Care Pro Bono Project to Provide Legal Representation for Victims Before The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund of 2001. Marc Barmat is an associate in the law firm of Furr & Cohen, P.A. with offices in Boca Raton, Florida. Mr. Barmat represents bankruptcy trustees, corporate and individual debtors, receivers and creditors. He has experience with all aspects of bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Mr. Barmat received his B.S. degree from The Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. degree from California Western School of Law. Mr. Barmat was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1994 and is admitted to practice in the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern District of Florida and the Middle District of Florida. Patricia Alexander is Senior Counsel in the Family and Marital Practice Group with the national law firm of Greenspoonmarder, P.A., Boca Raton Office. Ms. Alexander concentrates her practice in all areas of marital and family law litigation. She handles complex divorce and custody cases and paternity and other family-related matters. Ms. Alexander was co-chair of the Family Law Practice Committee of the South Palm Beach County Bar from 2001-2007. Ms. Alexander is also active in committee work for the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, currently as a member of the Executive Council, chair of the Publication Committee and co-secretary of the Legislation Committee. Ms. Alexander is active in numerous civic activities throughout Boca Raton and Palm Beach County.
Eric A. Gordon is a shareholder of the West Palm Beach office of Akerman Senterfitt. He has extensive experience defending management in all aspects of employment law including sexual harassment, pregnancy, age, race, disability and gender discrimination, as well as cases involving breach of contract, public accommodation and litigation relating to the enforcement and defense of restrictive covenants. His clients vary in size from small entities to Fortune 500 companies and public agencies. Mr. Gordon aggressively represents employers in various federal and state courts around the country and before various administrative agencies.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Gordon counsels employers on effective strategies for avoiding litigation. Andrew Dector represents clients in commercial litigation in both state and federal courts and in arbitration and mediation. His litigation experience includes a broad range of business and commercial litigation issues, including breach of contract, construction, landlord and tenant, real estate and business torts. He also represents clients in connection with the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts and related agreements.
He has served as counsel for entrepreneurs and small businesses as well as multinational and publicly traded corporations. His representation of clients in the construction industry includes contractors, subcontractors, sureties and material suppliers.
He has served as an adjunct professor of business law at Broward Community College, is a director of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, and is a member of The Florida Bar, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.
